Ladysmith Trail Stewards

1. Name

The name of the organization is Ladysmith Trail Stewards.

2. Mission

To plan, maintain, and advocate for sustainable multi-use trails that benefit the community of Ladysmith and surrounding areas, promoting recreation, environmental stewardship, and local engagement.

3. Objectives

Engage with the community and local government on trail planning and management.
Organize volunteer efforts for existing trail maintenance.
Promote responsible trail use and environmental awareness.
Support a vibrant outdoor recreation culture in Ladysmith.

4. Membership

Membership is open to any individuals who support the mission and objectives of the organization. There are no dues or fees at this time.

5. Leadership

The organization is led by a Steering Committee consisting of at least three active members. The committee will select one individual to act as a primary liaison with the Town of Ladysmith and other external stakeholders.

6. Meetings

Meetings are held informally on a regular basis. Major decisions and public positions are agreed upon by consensus or majority vote of the Steering Committee.

7. Amendments

This charter may be amended by consensus of the Steering Committee and should be reviewed annually.
